How To Apply
International Students coming to Heritage require a commitment to Christian Education. This means that parents and students must embrace the values and lifestyle of a Christian approach to life. Students should also be comfortable in a completely English environment for their education. This means they need a fairly advanced level of English training before they come to Heritage.
Step one:
- Visit our website at

Step two: (send electronically or by mail)
- A completed 2009-2010 International Student Application and Profile
- A (one-time, non-refundable) Application Fee of $125 CDN. The school will accept Cash, Bank Draft, Wire Deposit, or Certified Cheque, or Credit Card

- Pastor’s Reference Letter - A Pastor’s Reference Letter must accompany a student’s registration as part of the application process.
- Transcripts of the last year of school completed (in English)
- Photo
- Student Letter – stating ‘why’ you want to attend Heritage Christian School (Middle & High School students only
- A photocopy of the first page of your passport (if available)
Step three:
- A phone interview will be arranged with the student
Step four:
Upon approval of your enrollment:
- An invoice will be emailed to you
- Pay all remaining fees
**Once all of the fees have been paid, an official Letter of Acceptance will be issued.
Step five:
Additional Forms are needed:
- Completed custodianship
- Release of Liability
- International Home Contact Card
- Medical Alert Planning (if applicable)
- Request for Administration of Medication by School (if applicable)
Step six:
- When you receive your Letter of Acceptance and Custodianship papers, you must immediately contact your nearest Citizenship and Immigration Canada office and request a Visa Application kit for a Study Permit. This process can take up to 8 or more weeks, so the earlier you apply, the quicker the process.
- Complete the form and include the Letter of Acceptance with your application package
- Wait to receive your Study Permit
- Make sure you have an updated passport
Step seven:
- Book your flight. The following are websites that you may wish to go to for information regarding flights from Vancouver or Calgary to Kelowna.

Step eight:
- Notify the International Student Coordinator of your flight and arrival information so that the necessary arrangements will be made with your Homestay family for pickup at the airport
